TERMS OF REFERENCE
ACCOUNTANT
Background
The project “MODEL Human Rights Defenders at School”, funded to CISS by the Delegation of the European Union to the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, and to be implemented in the Republic of Macedonia contracted on 14 December 2015, foresees the recruitment of an Accountant for the financial management of the Action.
An administrator / accountant will be employed part time in specific phases of the project to support Local Coordinator in preparing the financial reports and revising the administration of the financial resources.
Taking into account the limited budget of the Action, a total time of administrative support corresponding to a 1,5 months has been considered. The accountant, however, will not work during a unique period of 1,5 months, but his/her support will be regular during the whole implementation and in particular during the preparation of financial reports.
The Accountant will cover his/her tasks with Reference to R.1, R.2, R.3.
Main tasks
For an overall period of 3 months distributed during the 16 months of the implementation, the Accountant will have to carry out the tasks described below:
1) Prepare the documents that are necessary to keep the project accountancy
2) Holding the book keeping of the project expenditures
3) To ensure the correct handling of invoices
4) Regularly order the invoices
5) Prepare the payoff of the staff recruited by the Action
6) Organize periodical meetings with Local Coordinator
7) Support the local coordinator and the project assistant in the financial reporting activity (interim and final report)
In accomplishing these tasks, the Accountant will have to report on his/her work plan and results to the Local Coordinator.
Minimum Requirements
At least 5 years working experiences in accountancy
Proficiency in Macedonian
